The Coca-Cola company has issued an update on when to expect its famous Christmas truck. The bright red, light-covered vehicle travels across the UK each year, giving fans a taste of Coca-Cola’s products while spreading festive cheer in the run-up to the holidays.

After a six-year break, the Coca-Cola Truck made its grand return to Liverpool’s Paradise Street in 2023, having previously appeared in Williamson Square. Visitors were greeted by a walk-in, snow-filled baubles, a winter wonderland and the Coca-Cola Choir performing classic Christmas carols.

The experience concluded with photo opportunities in front of the iconic truck. Last year, the famous truck returned once again on December 5, this time setting up at a new location outside the Burger King opposite New Mersey Retail Park in Speke.

In a national first, the Coca-Cola Truck made a second Liverpool stop the following day, December 6, at Liverpool ONE. Crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of the festive favourite, singing carols as they queued.

During its 48-hour stay, visitors enjoyed giveaways, competitions, and plenty of Christmas spirit. With Christmas just around the corner, rumours are circulating on which cities – if any – this truck will visit this year.

Fans won’t have much longer to wait as the Coca-Cola company told the ECHO that it “will be announcing stops over the coming month”. The Coca-Cola Truck typicaly does not issue an entire list of locations in advance.

Last year, the Coca-Cola truck only issued a 24 hour notice for British cities. Irish tour dates have been issued several days in advance.

This means you may only learn the truck is arriving in your city last minute or not at all if the tour decides to skip your hometown. Liverpool’s visit last year was confirmed 24 hours in advance.

Coca-Cola’s famous red truck has been a festive staple since it appeared in the soft drink company’s Holidays Are Coming advert in 1995.

Since then, the truck’s popularity continues to increase, seeing them head up and down the UK on an annual Christmas Truck Tour ever since 2010.

Ahead of its potential return, here are 34 photos capturing its past visits in Liverpool.
