Slain gangster Marc Webley had been in a relationship with Scots Euromillions winner Jane Park shortly before his death.

The 38-year-old is said to have ended their brief romance three weeks before he was shot dead at a Hogmanay party at the Anchor Inn, in Granton, on New Year’s Eve in 2023.

He died in hospital from his injuries on January 1.

Jane released an emotional tribute on Instagram, saying she was “absolutely devastated” on the day he passed away. She went on to claim she had spoken to him hours before his death.

At the time, she penned: “I can’t believe I’m writing this, we spoke yesterday. If I could cuddle you again and tell you everything is going to be okay, I would give anything to do it Marc.

“The months we spent together, you taught me some valuable things in life and I will never forget you. I am absolutely devastated. The best bed for you is up there. My handsome.”

On January 2, she shared a video of her and Webley enjoying a drink and smiling for the camera. The song I’ll Be Missing You by P. Diddy played over the clip.

Jane added the message: “Sleep tight my handsome,” along with a heart emoji.

Two days later, on January 4, 2024, Jane shared unseen footage of Webley on her Instagram story and wrote “my heart is heavy”, with a heartbroken emoji next to it.

Paolo Nutini’s Last Request could be heard playing in the background of the clip. Jane also wrote “grant my last request and just let me hold you” next to Webley’s face.

In the footage, filmed at a restaurant while the pair enjoyed a meal, Webley can be seen drinking a pint and smiling at the camera.

Today at Edinburgh High Court Grant Hunter, 34, admitted to shooting 38-year-old Marc Webley just before midnight on New Year’s Eve in 2023. Hunter was due to stand trial for the killing at the High Court in Edinburgh but pleaded guilty to Webley’s murder on Wednesday.

His girlfriend Emma McVie, 27, and Gary Robertson 22, also appeared at the High Court in Edinburgh and pleaded guilty to attempting to pervert the course of justice. Hunter also pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of Stewart Pearson during the same incident.

Sentencing was deferred until next month.

Jane has not posted anything about Webley on social media since the murder conviction was announced.

The Lotto winner, who hails from the capital, became a millionaire overnight after she won the £1 million jackpot in 2013 when she was 17 and living with her mum in a council flat.

Her most recent upload was in late September, when she shared a photo of herself at a beach club in Marbella.

The Hibs fan is often seen jetting off on holiday on social media and has amassed an incredible net worth of £3m, gained a strong following on Instagram and even appeared on popular US show Dr Phil since landing in the money.

It is believed she now lives in a modest three-bedroom home, having branded herself the ‘B&M version of Molly Mae’ – now preferring to live a humble lifestyle.
