The Persimmon Foundation is excited to announce a donation of £50,000 to the Bristol City Robins Foundation (BCRF).

BCRF will use the donation to provide tailored mentoring, life skills development, and wellbeing support for up to 150 14-25-year-olds not in education, employment or training (NEET), or at risk of becoming NEET.

BCRF is the official charity of Bristol City FC, committed to making a positive difference to the lives of people across Bristol and the surrounding areas.

Using the power of football and the club’s reach, the Foundation delivers high-quality programmes in education, health, inclusion, and football development.

The £50,000 will enable the charity to reach even more young people after funding for its NEET programme was extended for another two years.

The cheque was presented to the charity at the Ashton Gate Stadium alongside local Member of Parliament, Karin Smyth MP.

The Persimmon Foundation, established in 2015, has a track record of advancing urban regeneration, health, education, and poverty alleviation.

With organisations over £1m donated to local charities and community groups in the past three years, the foundation continues to make a tangible impact in communities where the Persimmon Group operates.

Anthony Vigor, chair of trustees for the Persimmon Foundation, commented: “Partnering with the Bristol City Robins Foundation is an incredible opportunity to support long-term, meaningful change in the region.

“As the Persimmon Foundation, we are proud to play a part in helping young people in the region achieve their full potential.”

Charlotte Plumb, head of education at Bristol City Robins Foundation, said: “We are very grateful to the Persimmon Foundation for their generous £50,000 donation.

“From supporting young people into education or employment, to improving physical and mental wellbeing, the Robins Foundation is dedicated to changing lives for the better.”

Karin Smyth MP, Member of Parliament for Bristol South, added: “I am delighted to see this generous commitment from the Persimmon Foundation for a valued and influential charity as the Bristol City Robins Foundation.

“I know this will be of enormous benefit to local young people that will go a long way of improving opportunities in their lives.”
