A man has been arrested for “acting suspiciously” after claims of an attempted child abduction at GlasGlow light show.
A family with a toddler had been at the popular show in Botanic Gardens in Glasgow at 8.30pm on Sunday night.
They raised the alarm after they claimed a man had approached their child as they left the park.
Police officers were called to nearby Great Western Road. A 30-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with a breach of the peace. He is due to be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
Police Scotland said “no child was taken” but confirmed an investigation is underway.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.25pm on Sunday, 9 November, 2025, we received a report of a man acting suspiciously on Great Western Road, Glasgow.
“Officers attended and a 30-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with a breach of the peace. He will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal. No child was taken.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
GlasGLOW has been approached for comment.
