Police are working to establish a motive

Shots have been fired at a house in east Belfast in a late night attack, police have said.

It happened at a house on Beersbridge Road shortly after 11pm on Thursday night.

Detective Sergeant McVeagh said: “”The shots were fired through a window at the rear of the property. Damage was caused but thankfully, the occupant was uninjured.

“At this time, we believe a suspect, wearing dark clothing with a hood up, left the area on foot via Ravensdale Street.

“We’re working to establish a motive for this attack and are asking anyone who may have information, or relevant dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage which could assist with our enquiries, to contact us on 101, quoting reference 1639 of 13/11/25.”
