Two words- pug cafe. While most of us are already sold, let us tell you some more about the adorableness that awaits you at CuppaPug. We’re talking a small army of pugs, doggy treats and plenty of play time for everyone involved, where dogs and animal welfare are the priority!
CuppaPug is a pug cafe with permanent locations in Edinburgh, Manchester, London, Brighton and the US, solely dedicated to pug lovers. The cafe consistently supports rescue efforts and partners with animal charities throughout, putting animal welfare at he forefront of its mission. As a result, some of the pugs in the cafes are available for adoption.
Secret Glasgow also went to the CuppaPug cafe in Edinburgh to see it for ourselves, and on top of being tackled to the ground by an army of pugs for a puppaccino (seriously, they are stronger than they look), guests can expect a cafe decked in pink, with an obligatory ballpit. And, thankfully, the only casualties were the treats!
Each visit to the CuppaPug pug cafe lasts one hour, where pug lovers can pet, cuddle, play and give treats to the pugs while being respectful of their space. Both human and doggy treats are sold on the spot, whether you’re after a puppaccino for the dugs (we have warned you), a hot drink or a toastie for yourself.
When is CuppaPug pug cafe opening in Glasgow?
CuppaPug is set to open its doors in Glasgow in the first half of 2026, bringing that bright pink logo to Scotland’s biggest (and friendliest) city.
Aaron Pieterse, CuppaPug Co-Founder, told Secret Glasgow: “We are going to be opening in Glasgow, and we hope to do this in the first six months of next year, the response to Edinburgh has been amazing, and we’ve already had so many pug lovers from Glasgow visit us.
CuppaPug has had the most paw-some start in Edinburgh! We’ve been blown away by the demand from locals — especially those who already knew us from Manchester and London. We’re teaming up with local pug groups and charities, and can’t wait to spread the pug love all the way to Glasgow. The CuppaPug vibe just fits this city perfectly!”
And, indeed, it will fit us perfectly! While the exact opening date and location have not yet been announced, watch this space for any further updates.
