A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the woman was found dead on Saturday

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead in a boat yard. The woman’s body was discovered at Netpool Boat Yard, in Cardigan, at around midday yesterday [Saturday, November 15].
Police launched a murder investigation and have arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody at this time.
Officers cordoned off the slipway near the River Teifi throughout the day, with multiple police vehicles and crime scene investigators in attendance.
Police are now appealing for anyone who was in the area from around 9pm on Thursday to come forward as their investigation continues.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said: “There continues to be an increased police presence in Cardigan, following the discovery of a body of a woman in Netpool Boat Yard, Cardigan at approx. 12.35pm yesterday afternoon (Saturday, November 15).
“One man, aged 29 has been arrested on suspicion of murder. The woman’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
“Police continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and are particularly interested in speaking with anybody who may have been at the location, or may have seen anyone at the location, from around 9pm on Thursday 13, November.
“Anyone with any information that could assist us with our investigation are asked to get in touch.”
