In the context of many sprinters such as Elia Viviani, Alexander Kristoff, Arnaud Démare, Caleb Ewan, Giacomo Nizzolo and more retiring – men who dominated the sprints last decade – Gaviria could head down the same path. But according to AS, the rumoured move to Caja Rural – which has been ongoing for weeks – may be put to paper and officialized already this week, where Gaviria can boost the team’s chances of getting a Vuelta a España wildcard against an ever-growing ProTeam competition.
