ALEXANDRIA, VA-Susanna Sullivan has made her hometown proud. Yesterday (April 27) she finished as the top American runner in the London Marathon, crossing the finish line in tenth place. The event was held in Greenwich Park. Sullivan’s time was 2:29:30.
Sullivan is a sixth grade math teacher wth ACPS. The 34-year-old, stands alone as the 10th fastest American woman in history, having completed last year’s Chicago Marathon in 2:21:56
She has been profiled in Runner’s World magazine, which called her “America’s Fastest Teacher.” Along with teaching, Sullivan is an assostant coach for George Mason University’s track team.
