Rebekah Campbell, 32, who was stabbed to death inside a flat at Knowsley Heights in Huyton
The family of a woman who was fatally stabbed have said their hearts have “broken into a million pieces.” Rebekah Campbell died in hospital after being stabbed at Knowsley Heights in Huyton on April 15.
The 32-year-old’s devastated mum said losing her daughter has been the “hardest thing” she has ever had to deal with and that her death has “broken all the family’s hearts into a million pieces.” The family is now planning Rebekah’s, known as Becca to her friends and family, funeral which will reflect her love of pink and Britney Spears.
Paying tribute to her daughter, her mum said: “The whole of Liverpool is going to miss your smile and your laugh.
“You shouldn’t have been taken away at such a young age – you really have left us all heartbroken. You will never ever be forgotten you were our everything Bec and always will be.
“Best daughter, big sister, niece, cousin and loving friend and Auntie Becca to your little people. Keep dancing Bec, forever 32. Sweet dreams until we meet again, keep watching over all of yous.”
A GoFundMe page has been set up by Becca’s family to help pay for her funeral. A message on the page reads: “She helped anyone she could so it’s now time for us in some small way to return the favour and help the family any way we can.”
Speaking to the ECHO, another of Becca’s relatives – who wished to remain anonymous – said: “She was funny, she enjoyed life. She’s only got one sibling, she was a big sister as well. She lived every day, literally – she loved her dog. Her dog was like her child.”
Becca’s dog, a black Staffordshire Bull Terrier was never too far away from her. She continued: “Cleo was like her child, she had clothes and a birthday cake. I’ve never seen a dog cake in my life but she had a three tier dog cake.”

“She loved her family, she was all about her family – she absolutely adored every one of us.”
She added: “But I don’t think it’s actually hit us. This week’s been different, this week, the whole family is just not dealing very well at the minute. There’s a lot of people who we didn’t know existed who have told us stories [about Becca] – she was really liked. I got a message the other day off a woman who said she’d met Becca in town when they were on a night out once.
“How she met her was, Becca was sat with a homeless man. She’d stopped, she’d been going home and instead of getting a taxi, she she sat on the floor with a homeless man for half an hour – we never knew any of those stories.”
Although the family have yet to confirm Becca’s funeral date, they have considered how to remember her. Her relative continued: “She was a pink girl. She loved pink, she loved Britney Spears, that’s the only way I can explain her. She reminded us all of Barbie. We want to try and give her, if we can – a horse and carriage, we want everything.”
In a message on the GoFundMe page, Becca was described as the “most kind hearted girl” who was the “life and soul of the party.”
The message continues: “You all knew Rebekah and how she had a heart of gold. She was the life and soul of the party and loved having fun with her friends. She has left a lasting memory in the hearts of everyone she knew.”

Michael Ormandy, of Linacare Road in Litherland, has since been charged with Rebekah Campbell’s murder and is due to stand trial later this year.
