Hollyoaks spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on E4 and stream on the Channel 4 service.

Hollyoaks has confirmed that Tony Hutchinson’s shooter will finally be revealed in tomorrow’s episode, as tonight’s instalment continues to see Ant’s behaviour get more and more disturbing.

Ant has been insistent that Darren Osborne was responsible for shooting his dad, but after seeing a photo of the youngster with a gun on social media, Diane interrogated him.

She was horrified to realise that he’s been radicalised into misogyny, and took his phone off him.

Tonight’s episode started with Ant punching a hole through his bedroom door, which had Dee-Dee afraid to he was going to hit one of them.

“Ant, I’m really worried about ya,” Diane asked him, referencing Dee-Dee’s comment about him not having any friends at the moment. “Is that why took the selfie with the gun, to try and impress people?”

Instead of getting through to him, she just got more abuse: “Women, all you do is ridicule and belittle us but when men wanna stick up for themselves, it’s misogynistic and we get cancelled.

“It’s like the girls in school, constantly mocking us. And you wonder why get angry? We’re sick of it!”

Diane brought up Uncle Eric and the awful things he did to her, and when Ant tried to brush him off as “a sad little incel”, Diane told the youngster that he was using the exact same language. “You wonder why I’m terrified of seeing you posing with a gun.”

Eventually, Ant related and unlocked his phone, allowing Diane to see exactly what he had been looking at online. To her shock, it was Prince McQueen’s social media videos, where he preached about how men needed to “fight for our lives” against women.

Diane went to confront Prince in front of his family, and they told him he needed to do better. He shot down their concerns, telling him that he didn’t need to do anything.

The episode concluded back at the Hutchinson home, as a raging Ant stated that Tony was a “weak snivelling wreck of a man” who “deserved what he got”.

“It was you, wasn’t it? You shot your dad,” Diane said as she barged in his room.

Is she correct, or is someone else responsible? Find out tomorrow!

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
