LONDON (Reuters) -Britain is ​to build a ‌network of new munitions factories ‌to boost its warfighting readiness, in a move aimed at ⁠restoring domestic ‌production of military explosives for the ‍first time in nearly two decades.

Defence Secretary John Healey ​is set to ‌announce on Wednesday plans for new potential sites and confirm that construction on the first ⁠factory is expected ​to start ​next year.
