Following their Parliament visit, the Guides took a walk up the historic Royal Mile, soaking in the sights and history of Edinburgh.

They spent the afternoon at Camera Obscura and World of Illusions, where they enjoyed hands-on exhibits, optical illusions and interactive puzzles, before ending the day with a train journey back to Dalmuir.

Michelle Pearson, unit leader, said: “It was a fantastic experience for the Guides.

“From learning about Scottish politics to exploring the wonders of Camera Obscura, the day was full of fun, education and laughter.

“The girls were engaged, curious and left inspired.”
