Speaking on Catalan Sique Rodríguez’s show, El bar, Cadena Ser’s Bruno Alemany gave his thoughts on a possible move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi to Spain’s big two clubs, Real Madrid and Barcelona while discussing transfer plans at the centre-back position for the two teams:

“I think he’s a fantastic centre-back.”

“He plays on the left, although he’s not left-footed, but he’s good with his left foot. I think he’d be a great signing, but I think Liverpool have it pretty much wrapped up.”

It certainly sounds like Liverpool FC will get their man after all, despite the deadline day collapse of the move in the summer. With Ibrahima Konaté potentially leaving, Giovanni Leoni out for the foreseeable future, Joe Gomez not quite in the mix of things, and Virgil van Dijk’s age… it’s pretty safe to say that Guehi won’t be the last centre-back addition in the coming year.
