An exclusive club has celebrated what it claimed to be ‘the biggest table spend’ in Manchester with an eye-wateringly huge tip.
Continental in Manchester, on South King Street near Deansgate in the city centre shared a picture of a receipt on social media which it hailed as ‘record breaking’. The tab, which was spent by a table, was more than a jaw-dropping £88,000.
Sharing the tab online, the bar wrote: “RECORD BROKEN. Some come to sip…others come to set records. The biggest table spend to EVER take place in a club in Manchester.”
The total spent over the evening at the luxury nightclub amounted to a total of £88,589.60. It included bottles of Clase Azul, Ultra-Extra Añejo Tequila priced at £9,500.

The receipt also showed bottles of Dom Perignon champagne, priced at £2,000, Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Champagne costing £1,500, and Chivas Regal 25 blended Scotch Whiskey at £950.
And according to the receipt shared online, the service charge tip – calculated at 10 per cent of the bill – amounted to an eyewatering £8,053.60.

After being shared online, one person commented: “You guys are killing it” as another posted: “That service charge would be coming straight off” followed by laughing face emojis.
The venue describes itself as an ‘exclusive nightclub offering luxury, privacy, and elite entertainment. With world-class events, premium liquors, and VIP services’.
