The Royal Northern Sinfonia’s Concert by Candlelight will take place at Northesk Church next Friday (November 28) at 7.30pm, curated by The Brunton.

The Concert by Candlelight, directed by artistic partner Maria Wloszczowska, will feature Henry Purcell’s The Fairy Queen, music by Jean-Philippe Rameau and Telemann’s Viola Concerto, featuring principal viola Michael Gerrard.

The programme will also include works by Jean-Marie Leclair, Giuseppe Torelli and Pietro Locatelli.

Northesk Church also hosts The Brunton’s Bite-Sized Concerts at Lunchtime series, which includes the option to have soup and a sandwich at noon in the church hall before the hour-long concert.

The final concert of the year will feature pianist Ariel Lanyi on Tuesday, December 9, at 1pm, performing works by Schumann and Debussy.

The Brunton Theatre Trust, operating as The Brunton, organises these concerts and is supported by East Lothian Council and Creative Scotland.
