Trigger warning: This article contains discussion of rape.
Hollyoaks has confirmed that Donny Clark (Louis Emerick) was raped on the same night as colleague Dodger Savage (Danny Mac).
Dodger, as viewers know, was raped last month by villainous gangster Griff, who had previously beaten him up. Donny, who had been attacked by Sully (Harry French) moments before, was forced to watch the ordeal.
After Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) freed him and Dodger from Griff and Sully’s control, Donny gave chase, with a car crash subsequently ensuing.
Donny saw Griff crawling from the wreckage and proceeded to kill him and – with some assistance from Warren – he buried the body.
A huge twist in the tale followed, however, with villainous Sully confirmed to be an undercover police officer – not to mention Froggy Black’s son – who would be working at the station with both Dodger and Donny.
Dodger struggled in the aftermath of his ordeal and reported it to the police, against Donny’s advice.
Presuming Griff had fled the scene and evaded justice, Donny broke down in tears to Donny, who was left with little choice but to reveal that Griff is dead.
Wednesday’s (November 19) edition of the Channel 4 soap dealt with the aftermath of the bombshell, with Dodger berating Donny for taking away his chance of Griff facing justice for what he did to him.

Fearing that Dodger’s knowledge of the rapist’s death would come back to bite him, Donny decided to return to where he and Warren had stored the body previously.
Little did he know, however, that Sully had followed, demanding answers on Griff’s whereabouts. Donny told the dodgy policeman that he killed Griff after what he did to Dodger, but a devastating showdown ensued, with it becoming clear that Donny was also raped on the night in question.
‘I know Dodger had to tell everyone what happened to him that night’, said Griff, attempting to intimidate Donny, ‘But you, you were smart enough to keep quiet that the exact same thing happened to you.’

Hollyoaks is working with We Are Survivors on Dodger and Donny’s rape storyline both ‘It was important to us that we show the reality of the impact of rape, that no two people deal with the impact in the same way,’ said Chief Executive Officer Duncan Craig OBE.
‘Of course, as survivors we often share many after effects for want of a better word, but every individual’s experience is unique to them, as is their processing and healing.”
‘Being able to have two male survivors in the same storyline, both having had the same experience but both dealing with it differently is refreshing and is why we wanted to be part of this storyline. This is a brave challenge to take on and we’re so proud to be part of this series’.
If you have been impacted or want more information on the topic, you can find support on We Are Survivors.
Hollyoaks streams Mondays to Wednesdays from 6am on Channel 4’s streaming platform, or catch episodes on TV at 7pm on E4.
