A cyclist has been rushed to hospital after two cars flipped in a bizarre crash on a quiet Scots residential street.

Emergency services rushed to Midlock Street in the southside of Glasgow at around 2.17pm yesterday after receiving a report of a collision involving two vehicles and a cyclist.

Crews in attendance included an ambulance, three Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliances and police.

The passing cyclist was looked over by paramedics and was blue-lighted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

A man has also been issued with a fixed penalty notice in connection with the incident.

Images from the scene showed a dented black MG3 on its side beside a bike. Parked on top of the MG3 was the back wheels of a brown Peugeot.

In the clip, you can see the window of the front passenger seat of the black car has been shattered with glass shards spread across the road and pavement.

Concerned locals are shown standing near the accident as they wait on the emergency services arriving.

A spokesperson Police Scotland said: “Around 2.20pm on Wednesday, 19 November, 2025, we received a report of a crash on Midlock Street, Glasgow involving two cars and a cyclist.

“Emergency services attended, and the cyclist was taken to hospital as a precaution.

“A man was issued with a fixed penalty notice in connection.”

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We received a call at 14.17 on 19 November to attend an incident on Midlock Street, Glasgow.

“An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 2.50pm on Wednesday, 19 November to reports of a collision involving two cars at Midlock Street, Glasgow.

“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and firefighters assisted emergency service partners at the scene.

“A passing cyclist was assessed by the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
