Meghan Markle seemed to subtly jab at the Royal Family in the new trailer for her Netflix series’ Christmas special.
The Duchess of Sussex unveiled the festive edition of With Love, Meghan’s trailer on Wednesday evening, coinciding with the Prince and Princess of Wales attending the Royal Variety Performance in London.
In the clip, Meghan is spotted filling red-and-white advent calendars labeled “Archie” and “Lili” with gifts for her children, six year old Prince Archie and four year old Princess Lilibet. She’s also seen crafting with Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka, cooking alongside American chef Tom Colicchio, and making wreaths with longtime pals Kelly Zafjen and Lindsay Roth. In a voiceover, the duchess shares: “I love the holiday season.”

Adding what could be a sour note for King Charles, she continues: “It’s about finding time to connect with the people we love, embracing traditions, and making new ones.”
The Sussexes have a chilly relationship with the Royal Family, with the King reportedly feeling a “great sadness” over his limited contact with his US-based grandchildren, reports the Express.
In one scene from the trailer, Meghan is shown cooking with US restaurateur, Will Guidara.

She tells him: “Being a hostess or a host, it’s about making people feel comfortable.”
He responds: “You can do things that make people feel a little bit…” They both finish the sentence together, saying: “…more seen.”
Meghan then acknowledges with a nod before turning to face the production team with a knowing smile, in what some might interpret as a veiled dig at the Royal Family.
With Love, Meghan, features the Duchess sharing entertaining advice while preparing meals alongside celebrity guests.
Second season in August
It has received harsh criticism from reviewers after its March debut.
A second season dropped in August, and the holiday special is set to launch on the streaming service on December 3.
This timing aligns with the King’s scheduled state visit hosting the German president from December 3 through 5.
The trailer concludes by encouraging viewers to “discover more holiday cheer, shop As Ever”.
