A campaign group has lodged a formal complaint about the number of night flights at Leeds Bradford Airport.
Group for Action on Leeds Bradford Airport (GALBA) claimed there were 500 unlawful flights in breach of night-time noise restrictions during British Summer Time this year.
However, a spokesperson for Leeds Bradford Airport said the group’s claim was “incorrect” and that no breach had occurred.
Leeds City Council said it had “yet to complete its analysis of the flight data” from the summer period and that, as a result, it would be “inappropriate to comment further at this stage on whether a breach has occurred”.
