No matter the time of year, pet owners will tell you that there’s no greater feeling than a hug or snuggle with a beloved animal companion.

Age: 4 years
Breed: Pomeranian
What you need to know: Maya has been described by ARC staff as ‘a weird and wonderful puff ball’. She’s looking for an adult-only home, with no cats and a family who can give her time, patience and a calm environment to feel safe. Peggy is another in this list that was found as a stray and she currently finds unfamiliar people, handling and noisy environments worrying. But she loves enrichment and playing with her toys, despite only having three legs.
