Former Strictly Come Dancing star Vincent Simone has revealed who he believes is the 2025 winner. The BBC show heads back to the Blackpool Tower Ballroom this weekend as eight celebrities battle it out for their place in the competition. The remaining contestants and judges could not be more excited about their visit to the “home of ballroom dancing” – but one show star has been forced to pull out and is devastated.
Vincent, 46, has tipped La Voix as a potential frontrunner to lift the Glitterball Trophy but has suggested two more performers could clinch the top prize. On Tuesday, it was revealed that the Drag Race star, 45, real name Christopher Dennis, was forced to drop out of the upcoming Blackpool special this weekend after suffering an injury.
As a result, she is unable to perform on Saturday night’s show.
Speaking to Paddy Power in an exclusive interview for Express.co.uk, the professional dancer has shared his thoughts on his potential winner.
Vincent commented: “Based on dancing alone, Amber and Lewis are spectacular. If I look beyond them, La Voix could be a contender if her technique improves.
But I’d say Karen and Carlos have the best chance – she’s strong, consistent, and the public will support them. I’m a bit disappointed for George because he started brilliantly, but he hasn’t pushed on.”
Luckily La Voix and dance partner Aljaž will be able to continue in the competition due to the show rules as they have received a bye into next week.
BBC Strictly released a statement following the news of the Drag Star’s injury.
It read: “Due to injury, La Voix has been advised by doctors to rest and, as a result, will not dance in this weekend’s Blackpool specials.
In line with the rules of Strictly Come Dancing, La Voix and Aljaz will receive a bye through to next week when it is hoped they will be able to dance again.”
They concluded: “We wish La Voix the very best for a speedy recovery.”
The eight remaining celebrities are headed to Blackpool this weekend.
