A murder investigation has been launched by police after a man was fatally stabbed in Norwich this morning. Norfolk Constabulary said emergency services were called to Somerleyton Street at 5.22am on Saturday (November 22) to reports a man had suffered a suspected stab wound.
The force said he was pronounced dead at the scene and another man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He is in police custody, according to Norfolk Constabulary.
A police cordon has been put in place and officers remained at the scene to carry out inquiries.
Norfolk Constabulary said a number of people were being temporarily moved from their homes while officers continued their inquiries.
Supt Sonia Humphreys said: “We know this is upsetting and may cause concern in the community.
“A police cordon is in place and you will see officers at the scene working to establish the exact circumstances over the next few days. You will also see additional officers on patrol to provide reassurance.”
