LIVE REVIEW | HOT MILK w/ Cassyette and Silly Goose | SWG3 GLASGOW | 17th November 2025 by Amanda MacEachen

Hot Milk kicked off their 2025 UK and Europe tour on 17th November 2025, and where better to start a tour than Glasgow. Their set was nothing short of explosive and chaotic, which was not surprising given their high energy emo fuelled tracks. Duo Han Mee and Jim Shaw hit the throttle for the first night, bringing nothing but continuous rock tunes and urgency for mosh pits. The set was a testimony to their varied discography, managing to plough through 20 songs without losing an ounce of energy (incredibly impressive). Their fiery performance set a formidable standard for the rest of their tour run, of which I’m sure they will live up to every night.

Silly Goose

First up on the lineup were Atlanta band Silly Goose, boldly describing themselves as a “Rap Rock Nu-Metal Hip Hop Fiesta Extravaganza”. It was their first gig outside of the US and they brought everything they could to bring the noise and vamp the crowd into motion. Frontman Jackson Foster performed with an infectiously goofy energy, resonating with their name and managing to have the crowd bouncing up and down despite starting not long after doors. The entire set was chaos fused, songs such as ‘Traffic’ and ‘Neighbors’ from the new album continued to ignite higher energy levels. the band closed off with hit ‘Bad Behaviour‘ which luckily formed a larger and wilder crowd with audience members still arriving. Silly Goose created an experience that primed the early eager crowd and set the tone for an evening of dance, mosh pits and rock and roll.

Cassyette

Next up was English singer Cassyette, the atmosphere suddenly switched from nu metal to nu gen, bringing a mix of metal, punk, and pop. From her dynamic discography, Cassyette powered through tracks from her latest album release This World F*cking Sucks as well as earlier EP’s. Glasgow got the luck of a live debut of unreleased track “Oops”, giving the crowd a taster of new music to come and showing that she’s already working on the new chapter. Riveting track “Dear Goth” finalised the setlist as screams poured out and the SWG3 erupted in praise and roars. As the last act before headliners Hot Milk, Cassyette and her accompanying band left the now packed crowd ready for a craze filled and rock infused night.

Hot Milk

Hot Milk took to the stage a little after 9pm, after an intriguing intro tape played to dimmed lights before they made their entrance. The house lights fully dimmed and the crowd was fully charged for their set thanks to the opening acts. Right from the first song “Hell Is On Its Way”, the crowd was pulled in to singing all lyrics and opening pits when asked. The band leaned hard into tracks from their latest album Corporation P.O.P, including standout tracks ‘Swallow This’ and ‘The American Machine’.

Vocalist Han Mee didn’t hold back from any crowd interaction or crazy antics, one of which was spraying the whole front row with water (which they all seemed excited with) then continuing to pour some on herself while singing the raging tune like it was nothing. One thing that was effortless was the on stage chemistry between lead singers Han and Jim who take turns singing tracks, it’s clear this isn’t just a band but a united friendship that has been bonded since 2018.

It’s sometimes rare these days to find a gig with constant mosh pits, but Hot Milk definitely defied this with bodies crushing against each other to every song and pits opening up before every beat drop. “Candy Coated Lie$” set an atmospheric shock to the crowd with its new rendition as explained by Han, the crowd seemed to love the new twist to the track and bounced along and sang anyway. Despite the chaos, Hot Milk didn’t shy away from stripping things back and doing an acoustic of “Breathing Underwater”, which was a surprising but a well needed contrast and break from the noise, but of course straight after they were right back into energised tracks.

After 17 songs the band walked offstage to be greeted by roaring screams and chants for an encore, of which they accepted and returned to play 3 more songs. They ended their set with newer song “Chase the Dragon” and everyone finally halted the moshing as the gig came to a close. On their opening show, Hot Milk proved why they are a must see band in the live scene. Their lighting rig was incredible, with strobed and flashing lights making the atmosphere that much more enlightening. They overall nailed it, and Hot Milk delivered a set that will be remembered by all who were there, and certainly setting a high bar for the rest of their tour dates.
