A look at some of Super League’s best overseas signings for the 2026 season.
Jake Arthur will be looking to take his first-team opportunity with Hull FC in 2026.
Super League will be entertained by several new additions in 2026, with a look at some of the best overseas signings as pre-season gets underway for most clubs.
7 Mikaele Ravalawa – Castleford Tigers
The Fiji international is a major threat on the wing, with 67 tries across 98 appearances for St George Illawarra Dragons. However, he struggled with injuries at South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2025 and will be aiming to return to the peak of his powers following his move to Super League.
6 Jake Arthur – Hull FC
Son of Leeds Rhinos head coach Brad Arthur, Jake is undoubtedly ready to flourish with first-team experience following his move to Hull FC. The 23-year-old half-back has only made 34 top-flight appearances to date across stints with Parramatta Eels, Manly Sea Eagles and Newcastle Knights, but is an exciting prospect and one to watch in 2026 and beyond.
5 Blake Taaffe – Castleford Tigers
A running threat, Blake Taafee is another player on this list who will be desperate to grasp his first-grade opportunity following stints at South Sydney Rabbitohs and Canterbury Bulldogs. He has 43 NRL appearances under his belt, including a 2021 Grand Final defeat to Penrith Panthers, where he featured at full-back. He has the potential of being creative and dangerous attacker for Castleford in 2026.
4 Jazz Tevaga – Wakefield Trinity
Wakefield Trinity won the race for the signature of Samoa international Jazz Tevaga, with the 30-year-old arriving with more than 160 NRL appearances to his name. He made 24 of those in 2025 with Manly Sea Eagles, and will don shirt number 13 under Daryl Powell in 2026. He is also capable of playing hooker and in the front-row, and is an exciting addition to Super League.
3 Toby Sexton – Catalans Dragons
Half-back Toby Sexton has penned a two-year deal with Catalans Dragons from 2026, arriving from Canterbury Bulldogs. Legend Andrew Johns admitted his disbelief in the lack of interest for the 24-year-old from the NRL, but that has worked in Super League’s favour as the talented playmaker arrives ready to lead a new era in Perpignan.
2 Tyson Smoothy – Wakefield Trinity
Tyson Smoothy arrives at Wakefield fresh off a historic Grand Final win with Brisbane Broncos and the hooker is ready to make a big impact at the DIY Kitchens Stadium. The 26-year-old featured from the interchange bench in the epic finale against Melbourne Storm in October, having also started at loose-forward as Brisbane ended Penrith Panthers’ four-year dynasty in the play-offs.
1 Jackson Hastings – St Helens
The signing nobody saw coming, former Man of Steel and two-time Super League Grand Finalist Jackson Hastings will return to England for the 2026 season after penning a 12-month deal with St Helens under Paul Rowley. The 29-year-old playmaker enjoyed successful stints at Salford Red Devils and Wigan Warriors previously, and will be determined to return to his best after a difficult period in the NRL.
Honourable mentions
Not quite making the top seven list, but the likes of David Klemmer (St Helens), Charlie Staines (Catalans), Jacob Host (St Helens) Jacob Alick-Wiencke (Leigh), Semi Valemei (Castleford), Toafofoa Sipley (Warrington) and Iszac Fa’asuamaleau (Catalans) could also be interesting watches across 2026.
