The agenda for the next meeting of the Outer South Community Committee, made up of Councillors for Middleton Park ward, plus Ardsley & Robin Hood, Morley North, Morley South and Rothwell wards, has been published.

The meeting, which is open to the public, is taking place at Leeds Civic Hall, LS1 1UR on Monday 1 December 2025 starting at 4pm. The meeting will also be livestreamed and then available to watch on YouTube.

The meeting starts with an Open Forum, this is an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions or raise issues directly with their Councillors. You do not have to submit them in advance, you can just turn up and speak.

The committee is also responsible some Council functions in the area such as street cleaning and youth services; and it manages a well-being budget that funds large and small projects, a Youth Activity Fund and the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Neighbourhood Fund.

The committee will be considering the following grant applications:

Dolphin Road New Bin (Leeds City Council – Cleaner Neighbourhood Team)
A grant of £256.48 to pay for a new bin where a metal seating bench has been installed nearby.

Middleton Park Grit Bins and Refills (Leeds City Council – Highways)
A grant of £3,326.55 to supply 9 new blue grit bins with salt and refill 8 existing blue grit bins.

Hunslet Foundation Youth Club – Phase 2 (Hunslet Rugby Foundation)
A grant of £4,175.00 to fund the continuation of the Hunslet Foundation Youth Club at Belle Isle Welcome Centre, completing the full 45-week programme originally planned.

Dolphin Road Seating Bench (Leeds City Council Climate, Energy & Green Spaces)
A grant of £2,400.00 to pay for a replacement seating bench with a plaque.

Middleton Heritage Village Bench (Climate, Energy & Green Spaces)
A grant of £2,200.00 to pay for a replacement seating bench with a plaque.
