TV star Jack Osbourne was moved to tears on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! after a poignant reminder that it had been four months since the passing of his father, Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne.

The 40 year old was consoled by comedian Eddie Kadi and social media sensation Angryginge, also known as Morgan Burtwistle, during their morning gathering around the campfire in Sunday’s episode of the ITV reality show.

Osbourne confessed: “Yesterday was a bit of a delicate day for me… I was doing OK, and then I realised it was the four months since my dad died. Had a good cry with Eddie… but ultimately I’m happy, I’m really happy I’m here.”

Burtwistle responded with: “Men cry too.” Model Kelly Brook lightened the mood when she forgot her own birthday, exclaiming “Oh my god, it’s my birthday tomorrow”, before Osbourne corrected her: “It’s the 23rd today.”

Brook admitted: “I honestly thought it was tomorrow. Jack even had to figure out when my birthday was, is there nothing this guy can’t do? How am I going to navigate life without him.”

Later, Burtwistle faced his third bushtucker trial of the series, Terror-Flying Tours. Before he started, veteran comedian Ruby Wax offered him a pair of her “lucky underpants”, saying: “I always wear red when I wanna, you know, pull off something.”

Burtwistle responded with a puzzled expression: “You want to give me your underwear?”

In the trial, Burtwistle had to stick his head into a series of boxes, each one ‘transporting’ him to a different location. He was tasked with releasing stars using only his mouth or tongue.

As he gingerly inserted his head through the first hole, he found himself in the company of lizards. Despite two stars being up for grabs, he struggled to manoeuvre his tongue or chin correctly to release the star, resulting in a slow start.

With time running out for his second star, Burtwistle was on the verge of throwing in the towel when presenter Ant McPartlin quipped: “If nothing else this is going to be a great meme.”

Time ran out on the first box and he failed to secure another star, but in the second box he successfully bagged two out of two stars, despite nearly injuring himself as he bumped his head trying to insert it through the hole in the box.

In another box filled with toads, he scored two out of two, and he managed to nab three out of three stars in a box teeming with rats, before facing his biggest fear of spiders, coupled with crocodiles in the final box, where he secured two out of three stars, ending with a total of 10 out of a possible 12.

Later in the programme, it was announced that the public had voted for a new camp leader, with rapper Aitch winning the vote and selecting Burtwistle as his deputy. They were granted the privilege of sitting in the leaders’ comfy seats around the campfire, sleeping in the treehouse and using the treehouse dunny (toilet).

The duo then assigned tasks to their fellow campmates.

They chose Osbourne and former England Lionesses footballer Alex Scott as chefs, Celebs Go Dating’s Tom Read Wilson and TV presenter Vogue Williams for washing up, soap actress Shona McGarty and Brook for water duty, Kadi and Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp for wood collection, and Wax and Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley for dunny duties.
