A man and a woman were attacked during group trouble in Birmingham.

It happened during reported mob violence in Wheelers Lane in Billesley at around 1am, on Wednesday, November 12.

The victims were treated by paramedics at the scene.

Their injuries were not life changing.

West Midlands Police issued a picture of five people officers wanted to trace.

No arrests had been made and police inquiries continued.

In a statement, police said today, Sunday, November 23: “We’d like to speak to them after a man and woman were assaulted in Billesley.

“We’re investigating reports of a group causing disorder and anti-social behaviour on Wheelers Lane at around 1am on Wednesday 12 November.

“The man and woman were assaulted during this, but thankfully their injuries were not life changing, and they were assessed by ambulance colleagues at the scene.

“We are carrying out a thorough investigation to establish what happened and have spoken to a number of people as part of our enquiries.
