Two teenagers have been arrested – one on suspicion of murder – after Yassin Alama was tragically stabbed to death in Handsworth Wood.
Yassin Alama, 19, was fatally stabbed at the junction of Stamford Road and Hutton Road in Handsworth on Sunday, November 16.
Detectives investigating Mr Alama’s death arrested two people yesterday, November 23.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested from a property in Birmingham on suspicion of murder.
An 18-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Mr Alama’s family have been made aware of the arrests and continue to be supported by specialist police officers.

A force spokesperson said: “Officers investigating the murder of Yassin Alama have made an arrest.
“A 17-year-old boy was arrested from a property in Birmingham yesterday on suspicion of murder.
“An 18-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal for information.
“Yassin’s family have been updated on the latest developments and we continue to support them.
“We are continuing our enquiries after Yassin was fatally stabbed in Handsworth on November 16.
