Guinean youngster Amara Keïta has ended up on the radar at Chelsea, Nottingham Forest, Watford and Leicester City.

That’s according to Africa Foot, and they indicate Chelsea are ahead of Nottingham Forest, Watford and Leicester City at this moment.

The winger has arrived in the UK to undergo a trail with the Club World Cup winners.

Africa Foot say he’s a promising attacker from Guinea who represented his country at the World Scholor’s Cup in China. His performances have ‘seduced’ Chelsea, who have been able to secure his trial.

‘Yes, he left Conakry the day before yesterday [Friday] to join the British club. This is the culmination of several months of negotiations,’ a source told Africa Foot.

‘Numerous European clubs expressed interest, but Chelsea ultimately prevailed. Initially, he will undergo a trial of more than two weeks with the London club. He has already begun training with Chelsea’s U15 team. This is a real opportunity and a great source of satisfaction for us.’

Chelsea getting first chance at deal

A source close to the player has told the outlet that Keïta has received approaches from Nottingham Forest, Watford, Leicester City and others. However, this was before he made a decision to undergo a trial with Chelsea.

Keïta has given a priority to the Blues ahead of others. The same source adds he could have trials with Nottingham Forest, Watford, Leicester City and others if he doesn’t land a deal with Chelsea.

‘The youngster remains under the wing of other English clubs such as Nottingham Forest, Watford, and Leicester City, who are maintaining strong interest. But we were primarily convinced by Chelsea’s project, one of the biggest clubs in England,’ the source explained.

‘After this trial in London, Amara could also have trials at Nottingham Forest, Watford, and Leicester. He is also being monitored in Italy by Udinese. After his time in Great Britain, he will travel to Italy to visit their facilities. We are very pleased with the progress of his career.’

If his trial at Chelsea is successful, he could land a deal with the west London club. If not, Keïta would look at other options.

It’s worth noting Africa Foot makes no mention of his current club or his exact age. They have shared a picture of him in the UK.
