A teenager has suffered ‘suspected life-changing injuries’ following a stabbing in Birmingham which followed a football match.
The incident took place in the Aston Triangle area of the city on the Aston University campus at around 5.45pm on Saturday (November 22).
A teenage man was stabbed following a ‘social football game’.

Police have issued a description of the suspected attacker, believed to be a young man.
He is described as being black, aged around 18 to 20 and he was wearing a grey Nike Tech tracksuit.
Officers are urging anyone who was at the match, has any information and those with any phone footage of the incident to come forward.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We’re appealing for witnesses after a teenager was stabbed in Aston.
“Officers were called to The Aston Triangle, on the Aston University Campus, at around 5.45pm on Saturday 22 November, following reports of a stabbing after a social football game.
“The victim remains in hospital in a stable condition with suspected life-changing injuries.
“Investigating officers have been working around the clock throughout the weekend and are now asking for anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.
“The suspect is described as black, around 18 to 20 years old, and was wearing a grey Nike Tech tracksuit.
“Anyone who was at the match and has any information, or mobile phone footage is asked to come forward and speak to us.

Clare Gough, chief student officer at Aston University, said: “Our thoughts are with our injured student at this difficult time and we wish them a full and speedy recovery.
“The safety and wellbeing of our students and staff remain our highest priority and we are working closely with the police as they carry out their enquiries about the incident that has occurred over the weekend after a social football event.
“Support is available to anyone affected and we have taken all necessary steps to ensure the continued safety of our campus community within Birmingham city centre.”
