Liverpool and Arne Slot may already be looking towards the January transfer window following the side’s latest defeat in the Premier League. The Reds fell to a shock 3-0 home loss against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, a result which leaves them in 11th place in the Premier League table.
The defeat was their sixth in seven league games. But they don’t have too much time to dwell with the team back in action in the Champions League this week.
Slot’s men host Dutch side PSV at Anfield on Wednesday night. Their last Champions League outing saw them come out as 1-0 winners over Real Madrid.

While the busy Christmas period is coming up and games coming thick and fast, it will also be busy off the pitch with one eye on the January window. There has already been talk about possible comings and goings at Anfield.
With that in mind, here is a look at a couple of the latest stories doing the rounds.
Antoine Semenyo ‘talks’
Liverpool have held “concrete talks” over a potential January deal for Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.
The Ghana international has impressed in the Premier League so far this season. In his 11 League games, he has scored six goals and provided a further three assists.
There has been talk over the player’s future over the last few weeks with clubs starting their preparations for the upcoming transfer window. It seems that Liverpool are making their move for Semenyo.
The 25-year-old is reported to have a release clause of around €70million (£61.5m) in his contract. Liverpool are though said to face competition from other ‘top English sides’.

Liverpool have made a ‘generous offer’ to defender Ibrahima Konate over a new contract, according to the Daily Briefing.
The report says that the centre-back is yet to respond to the offer with a decision expected over the next few weeks. The 26-year-old is out of contract in the summer and Liverpool risk losing him for free if he doesn’t sign a new deal. Foreign clubs are able to negotiate with him in January over a free transfer at the end of the season.
Real Madrid have been linked with signing him should his contract run out. Talks between Liverpool and Konate are said to be at a ‘crucial stage’.
