The family of a Portadown man who has been missing for eleven days has made a renewed plea for public assistance as the search continues.

Andrew Robinson, who is in his 50s, was last seen at around 1.10am on Saturday, November 15, in the Portadown area.

His car was later discovered close to the River Bann, triggering an extensive multi-agency search operation which includes volunteers.

In a statement, Mr Robinson’s family said the coming days are “vital” and urged anyone with relevant experience to come forward.

“We really need all the help we can get, from Portadown all the way out towards Lough Neagh,” they said.

“If you have a boat, jet ski or diving experience and can spare any time today, tomorrow or later in the week, please contact us. We are desperate to bring Andrew home.”

DUP MLA Jonathan Buckley appealed to any one who could help with the search to come forward.

“The next couple of days are crucial and we need as many helpers as possible to get on board with the search from Portadown right out to Lough Neagh,” he said on social media on Tuesday.

“It’s crucial that as much of the area is covered as possible, including the vicinity of the south shore of Lough Neagh.

“If you are an experienced boat or jet ski owner or indeed a diver PLEASE if you have any free time today, tomorrow or through the remainder of the week please reach out to the family as they are desperate to bring Andrew home.

“You can message myself on this page and I will put you in contact with the family.”

Local DUP councillor Kyle Moutray also asked those willing to assist to contact him and he will connect volunteers directly with the family.
