New executive managing directors have been named at the newly-formed Norfolk and Waveney University Hospitals Group (NWUHG).

Earlier this year it was revealed the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital (N&N), the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) and the James Paget Hospital (JPH) would be merged into one group.

And now Shane Gordon, Michelle Arrowsmith and Jonathan Gardner have been announced and will become responsible for the day-to-day running of the three hospitals.

Prof Lesley Dwyer, group chief executive, said: “I am delighted to be making these appointments, which bring a wealth of healthcare expertise and leadership to our newly formed hospitals group. This is an exciting time for the group.”

Dr Gordon will join the N&N, based at Colney, Norwich, as substantive executive managing director on December 8 following a six-month secondment at the JPH.

Dr Gordon has 18 years of senior NHS management experience and is a founder member of the East of England Clinical Senate Council and a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Royal College of Surgeons.
