A popular Irish bar in the city centre will be handing out hundreds of free pints this weekend to coincide with the Bank Holiday weekend.
O’Malleys, on Portland Street, opened in the city just three months ago and has already become a popular spot for its cosy vibes, live sport and regular live music. It is located just yards away from the Britannia hotel.
This Saturday (May 3), the venue will be honouring both the May Bank Holiday weekend and its three-month anniversary by handing out 300 free pints of Guinness – and there also some goodies based on the popular Irish stout up for grabs too.
The 300 free pints will be served from 12pm on Saturday, whilst punters will also be able to try their luck at bagging some Guinness merchandise just by buying a second drink in the venue.
Not only that but there will be live music throughout the day, as well as some ‘special leprechaun visitors’ taking over the venue’s outdoor area.

Speaking about the event, a spokesperson for O’Malleys said: “Kicking off the Bank Holiday weekend in true Irish spirit, pints will be served from 12pm on a first-come, first-served basis. A selection of Guinness merchandise will also be up for grabs for anyone that buys a second drink in the venue.
“There will also be live music throughout the day as well as some special leprechaun visitors taking over the outside area at O’Malleys throughout the afternoon.”
And the sunshine could also be continuing throughout the weekend too. The Met Office recently forecast that the UK is set to experience an ‘early dose of summer’. Here in Manchester, it has been predicted we could see highs of up to 28C this week.
Also taking part this bank holiday weekend will be the Sounds From The Other City festival in Salford on Sunday and shows from Torvill & Dean at the AO Arena.
