Anyone who missed Peter Kay’s recent Liverpool show will be happy to know there is one “final” chance to see him in the city next year. The 52-year-old comedian from Bolton, celebrated for his stand-up as well as Car Share, Phoenix Nights and his appearances with Paddy McGuinness in Max and Paddy, shared the news in a statement released on his official Instagram account earlier today (Wednesday, November 26).
Kay is currently in the middle of his triumphant Better Late Than Never tour, which began in late 2022 and quickly became one of the most in-demand live comedy events of all time. The tour marked his comeback to the stage after a lengthy hiatus, and fans snapped up tickets within minutes across multiple cities.
Since then, the tour has shattered records. Kay has broken all attendance and performance records at Manchester’s AO Arena, where he has played more shows than any other artist. He also made history as the first performer to hold a monthly residency at London’s O2 Arena, where he is scheduled to complete an unprecedented 45 shows – the highest number ever played by a single artist at the venue.
In today’s announcement, Kay confirmed that he will embark on one final run of arena shows, including in Liverpool, with all profits donated to 12 cancer charities. His post read: “Peter Kay announces final arena shows.
“All profits to 12 cancer charities. The UK’s biggest-selling arena artist, Peter Kay, is hitting the road for one last time — performing across the UK & Ireland, with ALL profits donated to 12 incredible cancer charities.”
The newly announced final dates will take him to Newcastle, Nottingham, Glasgow, Dublin, Birmingham, Belfast, Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds, London and Manchester.
Liverpool’s show will be held at the M&S Bank Arena on Friday, June 19 2026 at 8pm.
In a further statement, Peter Kay added: “Unfortunately, just about everyone knows someone who’s been affected by one of the cancers on that list. I really hope people can get behind this and support these very worthy charities.”
Tickets for the final run of shows go on sale Sunday, November 30 at 10am, and demand is expected to be extremely high given the scale of the tour and Kay’s decision to donate all proceeds.
