A man has died following a medical emergency in Tamworth this morning. The air ambulance, land ambulances and police were pictured at the scene at the junction of Silver Link Road and Marlborough Way before 9am on Monday, April 28.
Paramedics administered CPR to a man in cardiac arrest with assistance from police officers at the scene but sadly, despite their best efforts, nothing could be done and he was confirmed dead a short time later.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for HM Coroner.

Staffordshire Police confirmed: “We were called to Silver Link Road in Glascote, Tamworth, following reports of a man in cardiac arrest.
“Officers went to the scene alongside paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service and Midlands Air Ambulance.
“Sadly, the man died at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service added: “We were called to reports of a medical incident at the junction of Silver Link Road and Marlborough Way, Tamworth at 8.43am this morning.
“A passing ambulance crew came across the incident and stopped to render aid. Two other ambulances and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Tatenhill responded to the scene.
“Crews administered CPR to a man in cardiac arrest with assistance from police officers on scene.
“Sadly despite their best efforts nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased a short time later.”
