Everton’s Idrissa Gueye and Michael Keane show they have made up following the former’s sending off at Manchester United as they joined team-mate Beto for a light-hearted video at Finch Farm that has been posted by Thierno Barry on Instagram
Everton pair Idrissa Gueye and Michael Keane showed they have made up through a light-hearted video with each other after their on-field spat in 1-0 win at Manchester United on Monday saw the former sent off. Following a defensive mix-up when Keane failed to read a Gueye pass and clear the ball from danger, resulting in Bruno Fernandes flashing a shot across the Blues’ goal, the duo were embroiled in an angry exchange that ended with the midfielder slapping the defender in the face and being shown a red card by referee Tony Harrington for which he will now serve a three-match suspension.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s 39th minute strike handed David Moyes his first ever victory at Old Trafford as an opposition manager with the result also being the first time Manchester United had lost a Premier League match at home when the visitors had gone down to 10 men. Team-mates confirmed that Gueye had said sorry to them in the away dressing room and taking to Instagram after the game, the Senegal international wrote: “I want to apologise first to my team-mate Michael Keane.
“I take full responsibility for my reaction. I also apologise to my team-mates, the staff, the fans and the club. What happened does not reflect who I am or the values I stand for.
“Emotions can run high, but nothing justifies such behaviour. I’ll make sure it never happens again. UTT [Up the Toffees].”

Following that, Thierno Barry has now also posted on the same social media platform, showing a short video of Gueye and Keane stepping into a makeshift ‘ring’ at Everton’s Finch Farm training complex, each wearing a single boxing glove as Beto stands between them like a referee and tells them to “touch glove.”
Keane then pretends to get a first blow in on a giggling Gueye before the pair of them embrace. The footage is also accompanied by the caption: “Only love here,” complete with a blue heart emoji.
