A device codenamed ‘A2557’ has appeared in a Malaysian regulatory database, suggesting a release is imminent
A new Amazfit smartwatch appears to be being readied for release, with a certification uncovered of the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM).
A model, referred to only as “A2557 (Smart Watch)” in the filing, gained certification on November 25th. And, as we’ve seen from other watch launches from the brand in 2025, this often suggests an official announcement is imminent.
In the case of the Amazfit Bip 6 and Amazfit Active 2, these devices appeared in the SIRIM database just weeks before their official launch in various countries worldwide.
So, if the pattern holds, we could be looking at an announcement before the end of the year—or possibly in early 2026, in line with CES.
What could the mystery Amazfit watch be?
Unfortunately, as in the previous examples, the SIRIM database entry doesn’t provide any details about the upcoming wearable, which means it’s open to debate as to what exactly this device is.
We can probably rule out a few based on previous launch cycles. After all, it’s been a busy year of releases for the Zepp Health brand, with almost all of its existing smartwatch lines having been refreshed in some capacity.

The two outliers in its smartwatches are the Cheetah and Falcon devices. And if it weren’t for the ‘Smart Watch’ section of the certification, we would have guessed this referred to a potential second-gen Helio smart ring—especially given that the original Helio ring debuted at CES 2024.
Regardless, this new database certification puts us on watch for the next few weeks. We’d be surprised if anything was announced before CES, but, then again, anything is possible when you have this many watches in the pipeline. Stay tuned.
