A section of a busy route in Bristol is to close for nearly two weeks for flood prevention work.

Work is already under way on Whiteladies Road with the northbound section closed near the Victoria Rooms.

But now, the road will entirely close between Queens Road and Tyndalls Park Road from the start of December until Friday 12 “to carry out drainage investigatory works”.

Buses – including the 1, 2, 2a, 3, 4, 71, T7, U1, U1N, and Y6 services – will be diverted but pedestrian access will be maintained during the work, the council said.
