Six men were arrested at Birmingham Airport this afternoon after trouble erupted in the away end at Villa Park last night.
BSC Young Boys supporters threw broken seats and coins at Aston Villa players and police officers during the Europa League match on Thursday, November 27.
Dutch forward Donyell Malen, 26, suffered a cut to his head when he was struck as he celebrated after scoring in the 2-1 Villa win.

West Midlands Police confirmed this morning that two fans of the Swiss side had been arrested on suspicion of affray and assaulting a police officer after the trouble flared.
In a new update, the force says a further six men were arrested this afternoon at Birmingham Airport.
They were all being held on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and violent disorder.
The two men arrested last night also remain in custody.
A force spokesperson said: “A further six men have been arrested following last night’s disorder during the Aston Villa vs BSC Young Boys match.
“The men were all arrested from Birmingham Airport this afternoon on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and violent disorder.
“Two men who were arrested during last night’s match remain in custody.
“Items were thrown by BSC Young Boys fans at Aston Villa players and police officers.
“Violent behaviour will not be tolerated at football matches. If you commit any act of violence, you will be arrested.”
A previous statement from the force read: “Two people were arrested last night after disorder during the Aston Villa vs BSC Young Boys match.
“Disorder broke out inside the stadium during the first half of the Europa League Cup tie.
“Items including broken seats and coins were thrown by away fans at Aston Villa players and police officers, and one player was struck on the head.
“Officers were assaulted during the disorder.
“Two away fans were arrested on suspicion of affray and assaulting a police officer.”
