The 23-year-old joins on a short-term loan deal from League One side Bolton Wanderers, with Oliver Whatmuff sidelined through injury.

“I’m absolutely made up to sign,” says Broome.

“It’s an exciting opportunity and one I want to take with both hands.

“As soon as I heard of the interest, I wanted to join and I’m excited to get going at the Crown Oil Arena.”

Broome graduated through Manchester City’s academy, where he started from the age of nine before a move to Stoke City in 2018. He played 43 games for the Potters’ Under-18 and Under-23 teams which then included a spell out on loan at Mickleover Sports.

From there, the shot-stopper headed to League One, linking up with AFC Wimbledon in the 2021/22 campaign. He made his league debut against Walsall the following March, keeping a clean sheet in the 2-0 win.

This led to a move to Swansea City, where he also linked up with Port Vale during his time in South Wales, earning promotion to League One with the Valiants.

After a successful trial at his boyhood club during the summer, Bolton Wanderers signed him on and handed Nathan his debut in the Trotters’ 6-2 victory over Oldham Athletic.

Broome will be wearing the number 25 during his time at the Crown Oil Arena.

Welcome, Nathan!
