A man has been arrested in Aberdeen in connection with shooting a 16-year-old boy in Sheffield.
Officers from Police Scotland detained the 26-year-old man last night at the CitiHouse guesthouse in the Granite City at around 8pm. A 23-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The teen was shot in the London Road area of Sheffield on Monday, November 24, and remains in hospital in a critical condition.
South Yorkshire Police arrested two boys, aged 15 and 16, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder earlier this week. The pair were released on bail while officers carry out further enquiries.
A 40-year-old man who was arrested earlier this week on suspicion of assisting an offender has also been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Detective chief inspector Emma Knight of South Yorkshire Police, said: “Our investigation into this shooting is continuing at pace and I want to thank everyone who has contacted us with information so far.
“Your support really is crucial as we strive to secure justice for the injured child and his family and put an end to gun crime in South Yorkshire. Collectively, we will not tolerate the risk these weapons pose to our communities.
“This incident understandably caused a lot of concern and heartache in the local communities, and our thoughts remain with the child’s family.
