The charity’s mascot will be joined by owners Natalie and Ross Bytheway, who also have a close relationship to the charity after Ross underwent treatment for testicular cancer last year.

Paisley’s very own Beatson Cancer Charity ambassadog Baxter is set to join his owners at this year’s Santa Dash.
Natalie and Ross Bytheway, who live in the town, will be taking part in the annual dash on Sunday, December 7, and say the occasion marks a hugely meaningful moment for their family.
The festive 5k event will take place at Glasgow Green bringing supporters, families and festive fundraisers together to help raise money for patients and families affected by cancer across the west of Scotland.
Baxter – crowned Ambassadog for 2025/26 after a record-breaking public vote of more than 70,000 – will proudly don his Beatson tartan and a festive outfit as he joins participants and fellow dogs for one of the charity’s most popular events.
Both Natalie’s dad and Ross’s mum received treatment at The Beatson, and Ross himself underwent treatment for testicular cancer last year.
Ahead of the event, Natalie and Ross said: “Beatson Cancer Charity holds a truly special place in our hearts.
“As many know, Ross was a patient there just last year, and we witnessed first-hand the incredible, compassionate support they provide to families.
“To now be here with Ross, and with our Ambassadog Baxter leading the way, supporting the Santa Dash feels like a huge moment for us.
“This event is a brilliant way for the community to show up for an amazing charity, and we can’t wait to see everyone in their Santa red.”
This year’s Santa Dash promises a fun and festive morning, with a prize once again awarded for the best-dressed Santa.
Participants are encouraged to get creative with their costumes, adding to the joyful atmosphere on the day.
Maisie McCormick, community fundraising manager at Beatson Cancer Charity, said: “We’re delighted to have Baxter and the Bytheway family joining us for Santa Dash 2025.
“Baxter has quickly become a wonderful representative for the charity and seeing him take part with supporters on the day will be a real highlight.
“Events like the Santa Dash help bring people together to support those affected by cancer, and the enthusiasm from the pupils and staff is incredible. We’re so grateful for their support.”
