One of the biggest stars from a hit Netflix sci-fi series may soon join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A new report claims Marvel Studios is eyeing the actor for a lead role in its upcoming X-Men reboot, which will introduce a fresh take on the mutant team.
Millie Bobby Brown rumored for Marvel’s X-Men reboot
Entertainment scooper MyTimeToShineHello reported that Marvel Studios is considering Millie Bobby Brown for a role in the upcoming X-Men reboot. In a post on X, the scooper wrote, “SCOOP: Millie Bobby Brown is being eyed to play an X-Men in the MCU reboot. Who do you want her to play?” The post did not identify a specific character.
Marvel Studios plans to fully integrate the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe after regaining the rights from 20th Century Fox. The studio will feature an entirely new cast and tap Jake Schreier, the director of Thunderbolts*, to lead the reboot. Marvel has not released any official production timeline or confirmed a release date for the X-Men reboot.
However, current projections suggest the movie will debut sometime after Avengers: Secret Wars. Marvel Studios plans to release that film in theaters on December 17, 2027, after concluding the Multiverse Saga.
Millie Bobby Brown, 21, who plays Eleven in Netflix’s Stranger Things, has not yet appeared in a Marvel production. Online speculation suggests she could play characters such as Jean Grey, Rogue, Kitty Pryde, or Mystique. These suggestions stem from her experience portraying a telepathic character and Marvel’s reported focus on younger iterations of the X-Men.
Sadie Sink, who co-stars with Millie Bobby Brown in Stranger Things, has also drawn connections to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Reports expect her to debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, with rumors suggesting she could portray Jean Grey in the upcoming X-Men reboot. Marvel Studios has not confirmed any casting decisions for the film..
