National Highways Limited has announced a temporary restriction and prohibition of traffic on the M32 Motorway, which will take effect from December 30.

The notice can be viewed on the Public Notice Portal via: https://publicnoticeportal.uk/

This order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance and improvement works on the motorway, ensuring that the road remains safe for all users.

The works are scheduled to take place overnight from 7pm to 6am, beginning on January 1, 2026, and continuing until December 23, 2026.

During this period, drivers can expect restrictions and prohibitions on both directions of the M32 Motorway between M4 Junction 19 and M32 Junction 3, at some times.

Additionally, all slip roads leading to and from the M32 will also be affected by these closures.

The restrictions and prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs. The exact dates have not yet been released.

Traffic will be diverted via alternative junctions of the M32 Motorway and local roads.

Clear traffic signs will be installed throughout the area to guide drivers along the diversion routes.

The duration of each closure will vary depending on the specific nature of the work being undertaken at that time.

National Highways has assured the public that the restrictions will not apply to emergency services or special-forces vehicles.
