Montosa, leading company in avocados, mangoes and guacamole, has expanded its logistics operations in Perpignan with the acquisition of a new warehouse. The company has thus multiplied its capacity for the French market, going from facilities of around 300m² to more than 700m².

Located within the Medina 4 logistics complex, owned by Groupe Primever, this new environment provides Montosa with the infrastructure it needs to meet the current requirements of its customers in France. This improves the efficiency of the company’s supply chain in this market.

“In recent years, we have grown significantly and steadily in France. That is why it was necessary to adapt our capacity to the actual demand from customers in this country. It was time to expand and optimise our logistics processes,” says Thierry Athimon, commercial director at Montosa.

In addition to the increase in capacity, the new facilities will enable Montosa to maintain a continuous stock of fresh guacamole in France.

‘We want to start storing stock of our star product, fresh guacamole, in Perpignan soon. This will allow us to have smoother distribution closer to French points of sale. The ultimate goal is to be closer to our customers in this country, offering them the best personalised service and always with the freshest products,’ added Athimon.

Montosa’s extensive client portfolio in France includes supermarket chains and specialist wholesalers, to whom it supplies both on a large scale and for customised projects.

‘This opening is an important achievement for Montosa. Not only does it consolidate our steady growth in Europe, but it also demonstrates our new approach of closeness and collaboration with our customers and business partners,’ said Marta Sanjuan, Managing Director at Montosa.
