Vast Cannabis Farm discovered in Stockland Green
Everything we know so far after a ‘vast’ cannabis farm was discovered inside a city property in Erdington.
- Discovery of the Farm: West Midlands Police’s Operation Skybridge team, along with neighbourhood officers, executed a drug warrant at a property in St Thomas Road, Stockland Green, Erdington. This decisive action was taken after the police received intelligence regarding a possible large-scale cannabis cultivation operation in the area.
- Scale of the Operation: The police uncovered a “vast” cannabis farm that was utilizing all three floors of the residential property for its illegal activities. Officers successfully seized a total of 143 cannabis plants , along with all the accompanying specialist growing equipment.
- Illegal Infrastructure and Investigation Status: A key sign of illicit activity was the discovery that the property’s electricity meter had been bypassed to power the entire growing setup illegally. No arrests had been made at the time of the report, but an investigation is actively underway to determine who was responsible for running the extensive farm.
