Man assaulted near The Knowle pub on Leighton Road

A popular pub in South Bristol has temporarily closed down due to unforeseen circumstances.

The Knowle, on Leighton Road, has announced a temporary closure and said it is not yet sure when it will reopen.

The community pub made the announcement on Facebook this afternoon (November 4).

They said: “Temporary Closure Notice

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, The Knowle will be temporarily closed.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

“We look forward to welcoming you all back as soon as possible and will keep you updated on our reopening.

“Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

– The Knowle Team”

Those who use the pub rushed to the comments to offer their concern and support.

One commenter wrote: “We hope you’ll be back very soon! Knowle needs a good pub!”

Another said: “Looking forward to you reopening and supporting our local community x”

“Hope you guys are back soon,” adds a third.

Though it is not clear when the pub will reopen, a comment responding to a customer’s query regarding a pre-booking, suggests looking elsewhere for food booked for next week.

The Knowle said: “We aren’t 100% sure yet. Maybe, best to look elsewhere just in case. Very sorry.”
