Guinness has a new guide on where to get the best pint in the UK
Guinness has named the best place in Wales to get a pint. In a new guide called the Guinness Harp Guide 2026, the drinks giant has named 35 pubs across Britain as the best for a pint. On the list are iconic venues like The Devonshire in London, which is permanently packed with people trying to sample the Guinness there, as well as Mulligans in Manchester, Kitty O’Shea’s in Glasgow, The Star in Bristol and Pogue Mahone’s in Liverpool.
But there is a Welsh pub on the list too: the Queen’s Vaults in Cardiff. One of the few remaining traditional pubs in Cardiff’s city centre, the Queen’s Vaults is just across the road from the Principality Stadium. Every pub on the list will now receive an official brass Guinness harp plaque, marking them as one of the best places in the UK to enjoy a perfect pint of the black stuff.
But the pubs have not only been chosen for their Guinness quality but also for offering a warm welcome, great service, a buzzing atmosphere and a genuine love of the stout.
